Autotrophs are those organisms which are able to make energy-containing organic molecules from inorganic raw material by using basic sunlight. Nostoc, Chara, Porphyra and Wolffia are photoautotrophs while Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter are chemoautotrophs.

Green sulfur bacteria perform anoxygenic photosynthesis. Anoxygenic photosynthetic bacteria do not have chlorophyll to absorb light. They contain bacteriochlorophyll, which is capable of absorbing shorter wavelengths of light than chlorophyll.

Hence, the correct option is D.
