Answer: An army tank is a very heavy vehicle. In order to make it travel faster over different kinds of ground surfaces, they are provided with wide steel belt. This wide steel belt spreads the weight of the tank over a larger surface area by exerting a smaller pressure on ground, as we know pressure is inversely proportional to the surface area of an object.
