(b):- Area of rectangle lies between 40cm2 and 45cm2 Now one side = 5 cm Since, area cannot be less than 40cm2 ∴Other side cannot be less than =405=8 cm Since, area cannot be greater than 45cm2 ∴Other side cannot be greater than =455=9cm ∴Minimum value of diagonal =82+52−−−−−−√ Maximum value of diagonal =92+52−−−−−−√                                          =106−−−√=10.3cm So, diagonal lies between 9 cm and 11 cm
