Pleura is a thin layer of tissue that covers the lungs and lines the interior wall of the chest cavity. It protects and cushions the lungs. It is doubled layered, and comes in contact with the thoracic wall. Pleural fluid is present between the two layers of pleura and its inner layer comes in contact with the lungs.

'H) Describe the pattern of change in the estimated human population size from 500 to 1900. What model (exponential or logistic) seems to best fit the pattern? I) Note there is a line for the predicted population size at each time point. The predicted sizes were calculated using the exponential model (equation 4, above). The value of r used for these calculations was estimated from the change in population size between the year 500 and the year 600. There was a predicted curve but then there was an actual (estimated) curve. What happened in order for the estimated human population size to be different than what initially was predicted? What caused that shift? In your examination of human population dynamics, now include estimated population sizes from 1950 to 2015.J) How is the graph of human population growth from 500 to 2015 different from the graph of human population growth from 500 to 1900?K) Describe the pattern of change in the estimated human population size from 500 to 2015. What model seems to best fit the pattern?L) Given how the per capita growth rate is changing, especially in recent decades, what is happening to the population growth rate? How could this affect the size of the human population in the next several decades? Hint: Look at the graph with the red line, Human Population Growth from 1950 to 2015.
