Due to deficiency of sulphur plant shows chlorosis (i.e., yellowing due to degradation of chlorophyll) followed by anthocyanin development. The younger leaves show chlorosis before older ones. Sulphur is not the constituent of chlorophyll. The main constituent of chlorophyll is magnesium.
