Placer Deposits: Minerals occurring as alluvial deposits in sands of valley floors and at the base of hills are called placer deposits. 12. Ore: Ore is the mineral mixed with other elements or impurities. Example: Iron ore. 13. Mineral Deposit or Reserve: Known mineral concentration under the ground is called mineral deposit or reserve.
