Question asked by Filo student

Osmosis refers only to the net movement of water. In the language of osmosis, we describe the flow of water from a region of low solute concentration to a region of high solute concentration. In other words, water diffuses towards solutes. The greater the concentration of solutes, the faster the rate of diffusion. Describe the relationship between a concentration gradient and the rate of osmosis. Rate of Diffusion Concentration Gradient A stronger concentration gradient is positively correlated with a faster rate of diffusion. A weaker concentration gradient is positively correlated with a slower rate of diffusion.
