During “fight or flight”, epinephrine will bind to receptors on the heart increasing the heart rate, different receptors on blood vessels causing constriction AND still other receptors which cause dilation of blood flowing to the heart, skeletal muscle and liver. Explain a possible benefit of having different receptors for the same ligand (signaling molecule).
