(b) Photosynthesis is the process in which green plants use sunlight, along with water and carbon dioxide to make their own food. Oxygen and glucose are the by-products of photosynthesis.
(c) Carbon dioxide and water are used as raw materials during photosynthesis to manufacture complex carbohydrates such as sugars and in most of the cases, oxygen is released as a waste product. Hence, the process of photosynthesis involves the intake of carbon dioxide and the release of oxygen.
(d) Only the plants containing chlorophyll can perform photosynthesis. There are a few plants which cannot prepare their own food and they live on other host plants as parasites and obtain their nutrients from them. $Cuscuta$ is one such plant.
