For vernier two,
the difference in the reading

= 26 0^{\circ} 2 4^{'} - 14 0^{\circ} 3 0^{'} = 11 9^{\circ} 2 4^{'}

so the difference in the reading

2 φ = 24 0^{\circ} 0 2^{'} - 11 9^{\circ} 2 4^{'} = 12 0^{\circ} 0 8^{'}

∴ φ = \frac{12 0 ^{\circ} 0 8 ^{'}}{2} = 6 0^{\circ} 0 4^{'}
