2003, A = 54000

Let population in

2001

.Then,

54000 = x (1 + \frac{5}{100})^{2}

54000 = x * (\frac{21}{20}) * (\frac{21}{20})

x = \frac{54000 * 400}{441} = \sim 48980

(ii)Population in

2005, A_{P} = 54000 (1 + \frac{5}{100})^{2}

A_{P} = 54000 * (\frac{21}{20}) * (\frac{21}{20}) = 59535
