Oogamy is the form of heterogamous sexual reproduction, wherein the female gamete is bigger than the male gamete & is non-motile. It is mainly seen in higher animals and is an evolved form of reproduction. Yeast reproduces via budding, plasmogamy and ascospore formation, but not by oogamy.
