CFCs are widely used as coolants in refrigerators and airconditioners, in fire extinguishers, aerosol spray and as propellants. Once released they enter the atmosphere and cause depletion of ozone layer. Depletion of ozone layer lead to the passage of more UV-radiations through it. This. may cause skin cancer, cataract and damage to our immune system.
