Palmitic acids and arachidonic acids are simple fatty acids. A fatty acid has a carboxyl group attached to an group. The group could be a methyl , or ethyl or higher number of groups ( 1 carbon to 19 carbons). For example, palmitic acid has 16 carbons including carboxyl carbon. Arachidonic acid has 20 carbon atoms including the carboxyl carbon.

Why Can't Systole Occur in Ventricles and Atria at the Same Time? Systole is the phase of the cardiac cycle when the heart muscle contracts and pumps blood. It is an essential part of the heart's function in maintaining circulation throughout the body. However, systole cannot occur simultaneously in both the ventricles and atria. The ventricles and atria have different roles in the pumping of blood. The atria receive blood from various parts of the body and pump it into the ventricles. The ventricles, on the other hand, are responsible for pumping blood out of the heart and into the arteries. During systole, the ventricles contract to pump blood out of the heart. At the same time, the atria are in diastole, which is the phase of the cardiac cycle when the heart muscle relaxes and fills with blood. This allows the atria to receive blood from the body and prepare for the next cycle of pumping. If systole were to occur simultaneously in both the ventricles and atria, it would disrupt the normal flow of blood through the heart. The ventricles would be contracting to pump blood out, while the atria would also be contracting to pump blood in. This would create a conflicting force and hinder the efficient pumping of blood. To ensure proper blood flow and circulation, the cardiac cycle has a specific sequence of events. Systole occurs first in the ventricles, followed by diastole in both the ventricles and atria. This coordinated sequence allows for efficient pumping of blood and ensures that the heart functions properly. In conclusion, systole cannot occur in both the ventricles and atria at the same time due to the different roles they play in the pumping of blood. The coordinated sequence of systole and diastole in the cardiac cycle allows for efficient blood flow and ensures the proper functioning of the heart.
