On the right side of the body the sequence of arteries from aortic arch to hand is different from that on the left side. On the right side both the right common carotid, and the right sub-clavian branch off from the brachiocephalic trunk-- at about the same location. Therefore, the right common carotid is not directly in the sequence.
On the left side, however, both the left common carotid and the left sub-clavian branch off independently from the aortic arch--there is no separate brachiocephalic trunk. In this case the left common carotid is in the sequence : aortic arch, left common carotid, left sub-clavian , left axillary, left brachial, and left ulnar(or radial) artery.
