Imagine a body that is completely submerged in water, but whose depth of submergence can be varied. In which case does it experience a larger upthrust, when it is submergged deep or shallow?

Solution: Let the cross section area be A and length upto which it is submerged is L.
So Upthrust force is
where L is the depth of submergence .
So for higher L, it will experience larger thrust.
