An object can be completely immersed in a liquid when:

  1. The upward and downward forces are balanced.
  2. The downward force is more than the upward force.
  3. Both A and B
  4. None of the above
Correct Answer: Option(c)
Solution: an object immersed in fluid  have two forces acting on it i.e mg and buoyant force , now if mg is greater than buoyant force than body would sink and hence get completely immersed . and in case bouyant force completely balances mg than body would float but will be completely immersed inside the liquid.

hence option  (C) would be correct.
