Write the general equation of a plane parallel to the x-axis.

Let the required equation of the plane be $ax+by+cz+d=0$

The direction ratios of this plane are $a,b,c$

The direction ratios of the x-axis are $1,0,0$

Normal of the required plane is perpendicular to the x-axis.

$∴(a×1)+(b×0)+(c×0)=0⇒a=0$

Hence, the required equation is $by+cz+d=0$.
