A D = 12 c m, ∠ D A E = 3 0^{o}

and

A (A BC D) = 60 c m^{2}

Draw a line from

D

perpendicular to

A B

which intersects it at

E

Now,

△ A E D = 9 0^{o}

is a right-angled triangle

⟹ sin 3 0^{o} = \frac{D E}{A D}

⟹ \frac{1}{2} = \frac{D E}{12}

⟹ D E = 6 c m

A (P a r a ll e l o g r am) = b \times h

Now, we know that

A (A BC D) = A B \times D E

⟹ 60 = A B \times 6

⟹ A B = 10 c m

Then the other side of a parallelogram is

10 c m
