Private Tuitions For Good Tutors
12 July 2021

At Filo, we work on a very simple principle...

‘Great tutors will continue to generate more value for their students and we will ensure that it generates more value (earnings) for them.’

True to that spirit, we are happy to release Private Tuitions for a limited set of tutors, who are doing a great job of helping students with their studies.

What is that?

Tutors start on Filo by participating in on demand live tutoring we call micro-sessions. These sessions are a great way to connect with a large number of students in a very short time for every tutor.

As time passes, tutors experience repeated students and these students request to have longer tutoring sessions with the tutor.

This is where private tuition comes in.

Students request to spend longer time with you -> They book a private class -> You take that class and get paid .

Yes you heard that right! We transfer all the fee for the session paid by the student, directly to you after processing a minimal platform fee (5-8%).

How to set up a private session?

1. Use the link

  • Click on the link: https://forms.gle/aVasV8e7Dy2dJxZo8
  • Enter your name, name of your student and what the student wants to study.
  • Or, share the private tuition link with the student over chat and ask them to submit a request with your name, their phone number and the topic that they want to study.

2. Using email

Send an email to us at private.classes@findfilo.com

Share following details:
  • Name of the student
  • You Filo phone number
  • What does the student want to study?

Students are being requested to pay Rs 199 - Rs 249 for every private session with you.

You can choose a different price after discussing it with the student. Please let us know when you send the mail to private.classes@findfilo.com.

Premium Filo students will enjoy a 20% discount.

When to set up a private session?

As mentioned earlier, you are teaching in private sessions and lots of students start asking you for private classes themselves. You can set up only one at a time.

But more importantly, as you are spending time with a student you learn more about them and understand how you can help them better.

For eg. If a student is asking you a lot of questions about trigonometry, there might be cases where you realise that the student is not thorough with core concepts. If you know you can help the student strengthen her/his trigonometry over a course of say 4-5 private sessions, then you can let the student know about that.

You can tell the students how you can help them through private classes. It could be things like -
  • Learning a topic/chapter
  • Exam preparation
  • Counselling and planning
  • Revision
  • Homework help
  • And the list goes on…

If the student agrees, you can go ahead and set up a private class.

That’s it!

With every passing day we are adding more and more great tutors to the Filo family. And they are helping more and more students in return. Remember, we are only getting started.

Let us together take the next step in that journey with Private tutions.
