What is BITSAT?
Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test or ‘BITSAT’ is an entrance test conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, for admissions to UG engineering courses at three campuses located at Pilani, Goa & Hyderabad. Admissions will be offered to the candidates into B.E, B.Pharm etc after qualifying the admission test. The exam is computer based and around 2-3 lakh students apply for this entrance test each year.

BITSAT Exam Syllabus 2022
BITSAT syllabus can be covered in class 11 & 12 NCERTs. Questions in the exam will be on various standard concepts of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Logical Reasoning & English Proficiency. Some of the topics under all subjects will be as:
- Chemistry: Various topics will be atomic structure, states of matter, physical & chemical equilibrium, s & p-block elements, principles of organic chemistry, hydrocarbons, and much more.
- Physics: Topics under Physics will be as units & measurement, rotational motion, mechanics of solid, Heat & thermodynamics, rotational motion, etc.
- Mathematics: Algebra, , three-dimensional geometry, linear programming, differential calculus, trigonometry etc.
- English Proficiency: Grammar, Vocabulary, Reading Comprehension, Analogy & Composition.
- Logical Reasoning: In Verbal reasoning, Classification, passage solving etc. In Non-verbal reasoning- Figure Matrix, rule detection, paper cutting and many other topics.
Eligibility criteria For BITSAT Exam 2022
- Students must have passed 12th class examination or it’s equivalent in 10+2 pattern in 2021 or appearing in 2022 from any recognized board.
- Students must have Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the 12th examination to be eligible for the B. Pharm. However, PCM candidates may also apply for pharmacy programs.
- Students must have Physics, Chemistry and Mathematic in the 12th examination.
- Students must have secured a score of at least 75% marks and 60% Marks individually in the PCB or PCM subjects in the 12th exam.
BITSAT Exam Preparation Tips 2022

- Start by knowing & covering the whole syllabus of BITSAT. Take around 2- 3 months to cover the syllabus itself.
