When the petals of the corolla and the sepals of the calyx cannot be differentiated, the part of the flower is termed as perianth. This is the part consisting of the calyx (sepals) and the corolla (petals). It is the non-reproductive part of the flower. This structure forms an envelope surrounding the sexual organs. The individual parts of the perianth is termed as tepals.
