De-Broglie wavelength for an electron

(λ) = \frac{h}{p}

\Rightarrow p = \frac{h}{λ}

..(i) Kinetic energy of an electron

= eV

As we know that,

KE = \frac{p ^{2}}{2 m}

∴ eV = \frac{p ^{2}}{2 m}

p = 2 m e V

From equations (i) and (ii), we get

\frac{h}{λ} = 2 m e V
